We dive into the world of stand-up comedy, Middle Eastern history, and what it was like for Shadi growing up struggling with his native language, Arabic. He shares what it means to come from a proud Arab culture that doesn’t want its history erased — and how everyone, no matter where they’re from, just wants the same thing: comfort, happiness, and the least amount of taxes.
Shadi drops some history knowledge from the Middle East, and we talk about how religion hits different depending on your perspective. Plus, Shadi’s on his 3rd year of Lent as a vegan, and we react to some hilarious videos that had us both cracking up.
